James E. Rule

	James E. Rule, age 75, of 204 West South St. Pinckneyville, passed away Thursday morning March 2, 2000 at 5:04 a.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	James was born December 3, 1924 in Pinckneyville, the son of Earl B. and Alice M. (Queen) Rule.  He was united in marriage on July 2, 1969 in Pinckneyville to Marlene A. Jerominek and she survives.  James was a Navy Veteran of WW II and was employed as a truck driver and school bus driver.  He graduated from the Pinckneyville Community High School in 1942, was a member of the Pinckneyville American Legion, lifetime member of D.A.V., member of the Cornerstone Community Church in DuQuoin and attended Trinity Assembly of God in Pinckneyville.
	James is survived by his wife Marlene of Pinckneyville; one son, Gene Allen Rule of Sparta; one daughter, Cassandra Weeks and husband Gerald of Pinckneyville; two brothers, Nelson Rule and wife Sharon of Pinckneyville and Joel R. Rule and wife Colleen of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren, Haydon, Brentyn, Cameron and Moriah Weeks and Alison Leber; two great-grandchildren, Zackare Vicira and Jarrett Hensley.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Mulkin.
	Funeral services were held Saturday, March 4 at the Trinity Assembly of God in Pinckneyville at 10 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Trinkle and Pastor Paul Ritter officiating.  Interment was in the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery in Pinckneyville.  Military rights at the graveside were conducted by the Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post 2504 in Pinckneyville.
	Friends were able to call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. and then at the church.
	Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
